Physiotherapist's tips : Stay healthy

How can you stay fit and healthy?

Make physical activity part of your daily routine

Regular exercise is essential for maintaining good health. It strengthens the immune system, improves blood circulation, supports cardio-respiratory health, helps manage weight, and contributes to greater mental well-being.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), adults aged 28 to 64 should aim for 150 to 300 minutes of moderate physical activity per week, or 75 to 150 minutes of vigorous activity [1]. For people aged 65 and over, regular physical activity is also recommended. Don't forget to include two muscle-strengthening sessions per week and limit periods of inactivity.

Adopt healthy eating habits

A balanced diet is essential for maintaining good health. Choose a variety of foods, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. These food choices have a direct impact on your overall well-being.

Ensure restful sleep

Sleep is crucial for the recovery of the body and mind. Poor sleep quality can lead to chronic fatigue, stress, and metabolic disorders. Aim for 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night to ensure restful sleep.

Consult a healthcare professional

For effective prevention and early detection of health problems, don't hesitate to consult a healthcare professional regularly. They can offer personalized advice on how to maintain and improve your well-being.

By incorporating these habits into your daily routine, you'll help keep yourself fit and healthy all year round.
